Team Journey sighted at the first rest stop. We rolled with them from the grammar school to the turn for the Century loop. We did it, they didn't.

My raccoon-shaped seat bag held a bunch of tools and got a bunch of attention. I'm told it was popular with the ladies, although my teammates said it looked like I had a raccoon emerging from my butt.

Dave, by far, looked the part of cyclist more than any of us, with his Kuota carbon fiber bike, his pro cyclist physique, and even the single earbud. (although not for the team radio, for his tunes)
Unfortunately, looks aren't everything, and Dave got dropped like a hot potato. :)

Dave came through again this year with an awesome house. A little farther from the start, but a nice place where everyone except DZ (sorry man) got to sleep on a bed, and it had a really nice porch that we used.

There were some new faces in Team Journey this year. I didn't get to meet the lady, but I did meet Chuck. (in the center) Sean, on the right, was one of the primary characters of Team Journey from last year, most famous for his phrase: "Luis!! Do what you do!!"

Luis, The Big Motor, checks out Dave's slick Kuota bike. One of the reasons Dave's bike always looks so good is it's never subjected to harsh conditions, like, say, going over 20mph.

Last year, Team Journey had red, white, and blue Team Brooklyn jerseys. I'd always liked the jersey, and decided to get my own for this year. Turns out a black and white version of the jersey was released recently, and most of the Journey guys were wearing the new jersey, leaving me in last year's duds.
I found a way around this, by taking my picture with Sean in black and white, so it now looks like the jerseys match... sorta.
